We had a horrible experience with Natasha. I am from out of town and I arranged to have Natasha take our pictures for a special event. I talked to several photographers before I decided on her. One of the main reasons I used her was because I liked the composition of the pictures on her website they were very spontaneous and natural. However, the pictures she took of us were not even close to what she represents on her website. They were awkwardly 'posed', off center, and in most of the pictures she had us leaning, often in opposite directions. A lot of the pictures were taken close up and she had us put our hands on the shoulder of the person in front of us and as a result our hands instead of our faces became the focus of the pictures When I told her the pictures weren't representative of the ones posted on her website this was her response: ""You may notice that most of the work on my website contains small children, babies, and several models. Small children are very animated and active, which yields to a vast variety of spontaneous images.:"" Gee I wish she would have told me she didn't know how to photograph adults I would have found someone else.
The pictures were taken for my dad's 88th birthday. So needless to say I was very upset that the pictures for a one time event were so bad. When I contacted her and told her I was very unhappy with the pictures- this was her solution- "", I will refund your session fee of $175 and purge the images from my system. "" So much for a special occasion that we wanted to remember! I can't even imagine how upset I would have been if these were wedding pictures.
She also only gives you four days to review and order the photos so if you have a large wedding party that you want to send the pictures to and order- good luck. Here is her policy: ... Your gallery expires in 4 days if you would like more time to view it the cost is $50 per week. ... Your online viewing gallery will be available for 4 days. After it expires on the fourth day, you can no longer place an order. You must order within that 4 day period. No Exceptions
Also before she took our pictures I asked her if she would sell me a CD of her pictures and how much it would cost. In response to that question she said it would cost $150 for the digital file. I thought that was a digital file of all of our pictures. So for those of you like me that don't know what a digital file is - it is ONE picture. She could have clarified what she meant because I am sure most people assume she is talking about a CD.
If you like your pictures off center, leaning to the right or left or focusing on your hands and not your face maybe she is the photographer for you. But if your pictures are of something special and do not include models, small children or babies I would find someone else.
