Went with a Brooklyn-native and his girlfriend and my boyfriend on a Saturday afternoon around 1ish. He said he was surprised at how short the line was. So the other girlfriend and I sat down at one of the tables and waited while our boyfriends stood in a ""line"" for about 30 minutes. We watched the old guy make the pizza, which was cool for about the first 15 minutes, but after that it's just plain boring. People came in and out. Some loud guys that acted as if they knew they old guy and bragged about how they were able to cut the line and get a pizza before everyone else. It was really dumb and honestly I don't even think the old guy knew these people at all, but they were just claiming ""15-seconds of fame"" in this hole-in-the-wall pizza dump. So finally they guys sat down with 5 slices of pizza. I got a slice of the sicilian, which had BLACK crust because it was so burned. No I'm not exaggerrating. I couldn't even bite through the crust even if I wanted to. And the edible part was not even that good. I didn't get to taste the other kind, because the guys were so hungry at this point that all the other slices were scarfed down within 3 minutes. (they had to get slices because they never got a chance to put in a pie order, like we originally intended). Basically waited in line for 30+ minutes to sit and eat for 5 minutes. So, yeah, definately not the best pizza I've ever had, and FAR from even being close to it. This place is so overrated. I hope I never go back. And I was so hopeful that it would be good, too.
