Review content:
I wrote a pretty scathing review a while back. I got a response (see 'comments') about corrective action that was taken. Frankly, that is far more than I expected. Of the two units I purchased there, one is awesome and one ""was the worst."" That part is accurate. However, it was not meant to be a rude comment as much as a fact. To justify your employees behavior by characterizing the customer a certain way still falls a little short. But it's improvement. I'll give them that much.
Rather than get defensive about the workmanship...yes, the CPU had a bad hard drive, wires hanging everywhere with no cable ties at all, missing screws on the motherboard, and a missing back plate, because that's how it was built...they should have considered the source and investigated how they might help me and retain someone who had become a good customer. I'm willing to chalk this one up to youthful inexperience (in handling customers) on the part of the employee.
I think Dan is trying very hard and like I said, one machine I bought there is incredible. If you know computers and can specify what you want exactly, you can't really go wrong with Dan's.
Pros: Overall, Dan's a pretty cool guy
Cons: Still learning about good customer service
