Delicious! Sopes, tacos, tortas, or tostadas stuffed with your choice of meat: I've tried barbacoa (""barbecued"" beef, get the close translation), pastor (marinated pork), chorizo (pork sausage), pollo (theirs is yummy marinated chicken) plus others, and/or choose beany avacodo goodness as your filling. The generous cilantro garnish takes the place of tasteless (therefore pointless) iceberg lettuce, and the mole sauce and salsa (red and verde) are extra fresh, salsa having chunks of fresh tomato and zesty heat to open up your nasal passages. Bebidas (drinks) available include vibrant cinnamon/nutmeg rice water called Horchata (theirs is the best I've had in Durham) and watermelon juice aka Jamaica (Ha-mya-ca). Formerly Brown Cow Dairy, they've improved the fare, and I prefer their walk-up n order presentation...it actually limits the wait and you can see all the folks involved in making your delicious meal; if you wanna sit down n eat in a restaurant, go to one of those. If you wanna enjoy eating outside or take your tasty meal home or back to work then TRY VAQUITA! I want them to stay in business, so GO people, go and experience fresh unpretentious wholesome food from South of the Border with flair. Eventually, with more success, they may improve the picnic tables to tables n chairs with umbrellas n cushions. Give 'em a whirl!
Pros: Charming, unique, DELICIOUS and unpretentious
Cons: more and better seating, for all us customers that just keep comin!
