My wife and I were recently there for a birthday dinner on a friday night. When we first approached the establishment I was appeased to noticed an italian fashioned fountain and large wooden doors accompanied by a red carpet. I was only on vacation from Brooklyn and didnt expect to see anything this nice in the dirty south. When we walked through the beautiful doorway we were greeted firmly by two young ladies whom brought us to our destination. We sat at a round table on the second floor overlooking the entire restaurant. I noticed many chandliers and lovely cherrywood which is my favorite. We were greeted with smiles by our server and she instantly got our drink order and brought them to us quickly. The drinks were stiffer than a dead body (which is a good thing). The bread was good but I have tasted better. I could tell it wasnt fresh. We started with calamari, brushcetta, and musssels which I felt was the best part of the meal. My wife ordered the risotto which stood up to the server's descritpion. I ordered the NY strip which I thought was fairly tastey but I had a side of spaghetti with tomato sauce which I must say was the worst I have ever tasted. For dessert we were given a complementary tiramisu with a candle which was very good. We also ordered a massive chocolate cake which was heavenly. We then noticed there was live music at the bar so we proceeded over. We were greeted promptly by two Italian Long Islander's and a beautiful girl from Long Islander as well. They were amazing. Our drinks were perfect every time and they treated us like ""family"". They kept saying ""join the family"". I loved them. The Boardwalk Band was also fun and very inviting. At one point Mike and Anthony even saluted with us just as if we were family. I am bakc in Brooklyn now but if I come back to the Carolina's I know where to go. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Pros: SERVICE, DRINKS, ATMOSPHERE Cons: food needs uprade
