Review content:
I got my new Collie puppy--Winston--off a farm in Central Texas when he was about 12 weeks old. He came with the usual puppy challenges--nipping/biting, housebreaking, jumping, and stubbornness on a leash. We started working with the trainer at Man's Best Friend on basic obedience--sit, down, come, heel, and stay. Within a week Winston and I were able to enjoy longer walks together, which made day-to-day life with the puppy much more enjoyable. After a couple of individual lessons with our trainer, Winston boarded at Man's Best Friend for a two-week period. At the end of that period, and through follow-up classes, Winston and I had mastered all the basic commands. More importantly, he was a much more responsive and aware puppy.
