Just to let people who go to the Gusher Rapid Oil Change in Holland Mi know. I am a State of Michigan Certified Technician and have been for about 30 years. I live in Kazoo , My mother in law lives in Holland , she is 80 and still drives, I was Checking her car for a Starter problem and saw someone had wrote on the radiator support ""Coolant Flush and ""Transmission Flush 2/14/08"" I asked her who did this , and she did not know, I found her receipt for her last oil change at the Gusher . On the receipt was $90 for tranny filter kit and 75 for a radiator flush. These two jobs were performed already at 40 K miles by the Lincoln dealer , When the Gusher said they performed these two jobs the car had about 66 K miles on it. It is less than 3 months and 1300 miles later since the gusher Said they performed and Charged my mother in law for these repairs. And while I was fixing her starter I notice the Transmission pan bolts have not been touched. for sure not just 1300 miles ago. The Transmission filter on her car can not be changed without removing this pan. And as far as any radiator hoses being disconnected to flush the cooling system , a trained eye can tell none have been disturbed lately, And again these fluids were changed at 40 K which they did not need to be done then either. The gusher if they are mechanics should have looked at these fluids and known they were clean enough , and did not need to be serviced , the car is driven by an older lady, its is not used for severe duty driving like say a taxi. apparently the gusher did see the fluids were clean and just charged my mother in law for the service that they did not perform. All she needed was an oil change and this place pushes other repairs, she does not need on to her. Im sure the Gusher mechanic's are capable to do the job right, but charging you and not doing the job is WRONG and I condone it. I will notify the State and I do not recommend the Gusher , So Beware !
Pros: Handy to get your oil changed
Cons: push unneeded repairs, can charge for repairs not done, unsuspecting customer does not even know he got ripped off
