When I want a great seafood dinner, I will normally force my husband to drive to Redondo Beach. But, if I'm looking for good and consistent seafood, we'll head to Clancy's every time. I'm not the biggest fan of their New England Clam Chowder...but I'm always up for freshly shucked oysters on the 1/2 shell and steamed king crab legs with clarified butter for dipping. This restaurant (and especially the bar) is always crowded. If you can get there for an early evening they have early dining discounts. Also, earlier this year they started recurring weekly specials for dinner. My husband enjoys Fried Shrimp Night...Tuesdays, I believe. The waitstaff here is usually friendly, accommodating and courteous. On a busy night, parking is scarce, even when using the public lot across the street.
