I've been shopping here for years, for fabrics to decorate for themed New Year's Eve parties, for costume materials, and for ribbons for Maypoles. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful to me -- but when you see the mess some customers make, it's not hard to understand a bit a crankiness from the clerks. I really appreciate the selection and the prices here, and I always find something exciting that inspires me to more decorating and costuming.
