Even if you're a long hitter, i'd recommend not playing it from the Black tees your first time around. This is a tough course with lots of blind shots and you probably won't pull a decent number until you've been around it a few times.
With that said, it is a great course. Good (not great) conditions. Challenging holes that really get you thinking, and present many options.
I do have a few things that should be mentioned. First, there are too many houses lining the fairways. Secondly, I called ahead on a tuesday morning, was told 'no problem, come on down.' When I go there, there were 4somes booked for the whole hour afterwards. They did get me out after 45 minutes, but they should allow singles to call ahead and secure a tee-time on the day of, instead of the 5 minutes notice i had before teeing off.
Pros: tough
Cons: house lined fairways, single tee times
