Review content:
Watch out, people! J.C. Penney is ripping people off during this Xmas shopping season. Check your receipts and you will see an extra charge for something called the ""Afterschool Donation."" They round up your purchase to the next dollar without asking you.
Checking online, their ""Afterschool"" charity program is apparently legitimate, but what is illegitimate is the way they just take your money without posting any signs explaining what they are doing, nor do the sales clerks ask if you want to give before they rip you off!
Do NOT shop J.C. Penney until they stop this and apologize to all their customers. This is theft, pure and simple! If they had only stopped to explain the charity I would have at least given a buck, but they could not be bothered to extend a customer that simple courtesy.
