Review content:
I love to eat and I love to eat out. Don't even mind paying for fantastic food experiences. First time at Obas in Portland, Oregon. I usually don't comment alot on the service, but our waiter was fabulous - polite, friendly, and knew a ton about the menu/wines, etc. I wanted to hire him for my business. But then the food came and I must say it was a disappointment. Maybe I was just unlucky that evening, but it seemed like the owner was trying to offer an interesting meal - charge a lot for it and it just didn't happen. The interesting part that is. Like I said, I don't mind paying, but the price did not match the cuisine in this case. Seems like more and more restaurants are offering a dish with aninteresting name and overpricing it to make it seem ""exotic"". Maybe I will try it again. Like I said, maybe just unlucky that evening. Pros: Unmatched service Cons: Menu and drinks
