Jerry: I don't understand, I made a reservation, do you have my reservation?
Agent: Yes, we do, unfortunately we ran out of cars.
Jerry: But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the
reservation.
Agent: I know why we have reservations.
Jerry: I don't think you do. If you did, I'd have a car. See, you know how to
take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and
that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them.
So goes our experience with the North Cliff. We reserved the hotel months ago for a wedding this past weekend. When we showed up at 2:00am, after a great wedding, we found out that they gave away our room. Apparently our credit card which we used to book the room was denied yesterday, they tried calling us (didn't leave a message), and then just gave away our room. We would have checked in pre-wedding, but the earliest you can check in is 4:00pm. No early check-in.
If you want to ensure a hotel in Ft. Bragg, do not reserve a hotel room here. They will take your reservation, they just won't *hold* the reservation.
