Review content:
I love Whole Foods as a company and many other stores are great but this one has some serious fresh-ness issues - that verge on food safety problems. I have been going to this store for about 2 years. Not only do I see lots of moldy bread, cheese, fruit and vegetables every time I go but yesterday was the SECOND time I have had to return gone-bad seafood. The first time it was king crabs legs ($$) that were so bad I threw away other groceries in the bag (they were not wrapped well so they were leaky). The second time were bay scallops that smelled awful. They basically didn't even apologize - even though they could have made us very SICK - and just gave us new ones and charged us for the difference in weight. I have also brought home moldy bread / tortillas, moldy fruit many times by accident and goat cheese that was wrapped on a plastic dish which was covered in mold on the bottom (I am fine with moldy cheese but not the second I bring it home!). Beware of what you buy here and ask to smell everything, examine the bread, fruit and cheese and check expiration dates. I have officially learned my lesson.
