Review content:
Coming from the UK where, thank goodness, gun laws are very tight, it was great to have an introduction to guns in such a well-organised and professional set-up.
Guns and Ammo Garage is clean, smart and calm. All of the staff were very helpful, from the good looking and friendly counter girls to our gun guide.
We were given several choices of package, which included handgun and automatic (machine gun) shooting. We settled on a $150 package that had 20 rounds of handgun shooting and around 80 rounds for the automatics.
Our guide was a very cool character, taking his time to explain safety and technique in a very calm manner, but ready to step in at the first sign of any misuse of the guns or the shooting range.
Having only handled air pistols in the UK, the shock of the first few rounds was quite something, but controlling these powerful weapons was a great challenge. This really was a "fun" way to spend a couple of hours, but it's best to go with a clear calm head.
