Review content:
My corneas were too think for LASIK so I had PRK (more invasive, longer recovery time). Staff @ DLC were very helpful, took the time to explain all the minor details I hadn't even thought of fretting over before - I was prepared come morning of the surgery except was too nervous to eat before I came. Big Mistake - due to sedatives, its recommended you eat breakfast and they had plenty of munchies on hand! Yay! Also gave me lots of Optive sample drops ($12/box @ pharmacy!) so that was definitely helpful. Brought in the Rx drops day I came in and they explained everything before I went in for surgery.
Surgery itself: glad this is a 1 time thing, took all of 10-15 minutes in a cold room with the doc, 2 nurses, and a huge warm stuffed dog sitting on top of me for comfort. Nice touch! Then I was out, home, and sleeping cozily in bed for the next 6 hours. I woke up seeing tons better, and vision has been gradually improving since then.
Pros: Upfront, Efficient, Great Post-op care (Advanced EyeCare)
Cons: Expensive
