Review content:
We have been regulars at the Monument since it opened and have always enjoyed the good food and service. However, while the food is still good the quiet diner atmosphere is, sadly, no more. The ""new"" Monument has the kitchen and even the dish washing area open to the dining room. Really, what were they thinking? Our recent visit was horrible. The constant clanging of silverware and the banging of dishes made so much noise that everyone had to shout above the din to be heard, which added to the overall noise factor. We finally gave up trying to carry on a conversation, ate our food, and left disappointed. We regularly bring clients and out of town guests to the Monument, but no more. Too bad, it was a decent place. Pros: good food Cons: kitchen noise
