Review content:
With its warm, rustic dining room with tables cloaked in white linens and a huge, sunny patio, DAsaro offers a sophisticated destination for Italian dining that adds to the renaissance of downtown Redwood City. Chef Christopher Fernandezs menu features well-executed versions of standard dishes including Caesar Salad, Potato Gnocchi with Seasonal Vegetables, and Wood-fired Oven Roasted Chicken. Service is pleasant and attentive: the servers are intimately familiar with both the menu and the wine list and are not afraid to make recommendations. The wine list is deep with Italian varietals and replete with other well-priced selections from California and around the world. While the dinner menu is priced more like restaurants in The City (Dinner for 2 with wine $110), the real bargain is the lunch menu with its gargantuan focaccia-based sandwiches for only $9.95. The Redwood City renaissance begins at DAsaro. Pros: Good parking, Sunny patio, Good service
