Review content:
i would like to start off by saying i have lived in the forest hills gardens for the last 6 yrs.. i moved there from the upper west side and live 3 blocks away from jade. it was nearly impossible for me to have my friends from the city visit me and dine in my neighborhood untill jade came along.. forest hills is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in ny but lacks good restaurants/bars.. its like the neighborhood is stuck in a time warp in the 1990's.. q thai is a cute place with overpriced average food, also worth trying! seems to me that the majority of posts on this site are trying to promote q thai and make negative comments about jade due to loss of buisness in the surrounding restaurants since jade's opening.. my girlfriend and i dine at jade on a regular basis. they have a very friendly staff, great ambiance and a very good moderately priced menu.. its a shame that people are trying to knock this place! i recently read an article in their art gallery that named them one of the best restaurants in queens! im not sure if it was new york magazine or time out ny. you cant have a major, reputable magazine name a so called below average restaurant one of the top restaurants in queens. it doesnt make sence!! i strongly reccomend that you try it for your self.. im almost sure that you wont be dissapointed! ive also noticed that most of these posts are old and date back to the opening of this place.. all restaurants are shaky in the begining.. its packed every time i go there, they must be doing something right! Pros: ambiance, wine selection, service Cons: kitchen closes too early
