My older car's transmission was starting to go out, and I took my car to this local shop after I was unable to get to work one morning.
I really felt comfortable at first, however they failed to call me after they had looked at the car to give me a quote. The car sat there for the rest of the day and I had to call them to find out if they had even looked at it. After receiving the quote, which was higher than others I had received, I was pressured multiple times to have the transmission replaced (which I had said from the start was not my intention - my interest was only in maintenance and maximizing the life of the current transmission).
Finally, for the next 6 months (until I eventually moved) I received periodic letters in the mail offering slight discounts on service.
