The plan for a new Target store location should have had additional research. Very conjested area. They should have laid the store out with checkouts serving particular areas (grocery). He is an approach I would take as a strategic location planner. Put the idea out there first and allow time for people in the area to comment on pros and cons. The people living in the community clearly understand what obstacles move them from one store versus another. This would be better than a focus group. Let people drive some ideas that will keep from having disappointments later that could cut deep into sales. Get buyin from the customer first and the customer will gladly come even with minor disappointments.
