Review content:
The Persian Grill is the only Persian restaurant in Monterey County but that doesn't stop it from working as if it had tons of competition. The food is excellently prepared with spices expertly used. Don't let the sometimes difficult to pronounce Persian names ward you off - the staff is helpful and the menu itself explains how best to combine foods and garnishes or sauces. The khoresht (stews) are wonderful for chilly Monterey evenings, and the mint tea is a perfect accompaniment.
