Today I went to Tonys tire after receiving a flyer in the mail for a free air conditioner leak and performance check. I walk in and wait for my turn and a really nice lady with a big smile asks if she can help me. I was in the process of telling her that my ac was blowing hot and we put a can of refrigerant in it a couple days before so I didnt know if we hadnt put enough or if the problem was bigger than that. Before i could finish my sentence another extremely rude woman (short heavy set with shoulder length brown hair) cut me off and said all I can do is put it on a gauge and see if you need freon. So I asked her about the flyer I received in the mail, it said ac leak and performance test. She cut me off again and said all I can do is tell you if there is freon or not in it so I asked her, can you tell me what is wrong with my air conditioner or not? And she said no. So obviously I left. Now the problem I have with this is, someone paid good money to advertise this service by sending out this flyer to all Hammond residents just to reach people like me who wouldn t otherwise go into their shop. I knew that after putting freon in it and it still blowing hot that I was probably about to spend some money on this repair and I was prepared to do so. ?Why in the world would you advertise something you cant do and if you can do it why in the world would you be so rude and tell me that you cant. I am only assuming, but whoever designed this flyer did it that way to bring people into the shop to sell them something and instead I was literally run out of there. I just moved here less than 2 months ago so I am looking for all new favorite places restaurants, hair salons, auto shops, etc and they had the opportunity to acquire a new customer and totally blew it.?
