Review content:
I had an appointment for a consult with attorney Ann Weiss. The consult was a waste of my time. She informed me that I only had a 25% chance of winning and that my ex husband would most likely get primary placement of the children because I was the one choosing to move and the move would make my children need to change schools. She did not inform me of any of my options and was not willing to help me with any of the paper work to start the process. She informed me that I myself could go to the courthouse and file a request. She rudely reminded me of her high retainer fee. The next lawyer who I saw was very optimistic and helpful. He listened to my whole story and informed me of all of our options and the reasons that we may be able to get primary placement of my children. He wrote up all the paper work and filed it for me. In the end, I did receive placement of my children because the move was for a promotion that was necessary and would improve the quality of life for them. I will never forget the night that I went home after my consult. I cried all night thinking that I would not be able to be with my children during the school year. I would not recommend this attorney. I also felt that the $100 consult fee was unfair.
