Review content:
In July my husband fell 20 feet off a ladder, breaking his pelvis and arm. We spent 36 hrs in the Med trauma unit. Upon returning home, we were contacted by Mid-South Mobility saying that the doctor had ordered a walker with a platform for my husband who could not walk. They delivered the walker and demanded payment of the entire amount upon delivery. In August when I received my EOB from my insurance company it indicated I was only responsible for 56% of what they charged me. I immediately called Mid-South and was told it would take 4-6 weeks for refund. Not happy, but compliant I waited actually over 8 weeks and called again. My first call was not returned. My second call was returned, and I was informed that they had put in for my refund the day before and it would be 4-6 more weeks before I get it. This is totally ridiculous. Why am I required to pay immediately, but they can take 4-5 months to give me my money back, which they knew I wasn't going to be liable for in the first place because they had my insurance information and had contacted the insurance company to verify. Only because we were just out of the hospital and still in shock would I have agreed to this. I will never use Mid-South Mobility again, and will never recommend them to anyone else. They have you over a barrel because you are have so many other things going at the time time. They know that you don't owe them the full amount, and should not be taking advantage of the situation. Believe me if I owed them money, they would be adding interest and penalties, and probably would have already sent it to a collection agency. If only we as consumers had the same rights. We didn't even have to use the walker.
