I purchased Noni, an African Grey Parrot, 10 years ago from Torrey's. Noni is a wonderful, happy, parrot and is the best pet i have ever owed. I believe the success came from the fact that Torrey's requires potential parrot owners to spend time with the birds before choosing which one they take home. Parrots can be very picky about their owners, and after putting down my deposit, i remember going to the store a couple times a week to play with all the baby african greys to find which ones were drawn to me. Noni is now 10 years old, and we have a great bond. She's super sweet, and has an eery way of really saying verbally what she wants. She will tell me if she wants ""scratchies"" (petting), treats, watch TV, or whatever. BIG thanks to Torrey's for this wonderful life long companion : )
