Review content:
I have been to Mambu several times in the past couple months. I've had wonderful service each time from the eclectic, informative and friendly staff. Anita, one of the co-owners, is always a pleasure. The setting is a wonderful old four square home in the midtown section of Nashville. The bar is particularly a joy and pleasantly void of tv or loud music. For appetizers, I'm partial to the Brazilian searfood stew which always contains several large shrimp and scallops and two to three selections of fish. For entrees, the seared tuna is the house specialty, but the steak is equally delicious and simply and elegantly prepared with fresh blue cheese. For desert, I would recommend the bread pudding which was light and flavorful. In a very short time, Mambu has become one of my favorites and is always a sure bet for a relaxing evening with quality, interesting food.
