My daughter always wanted to go horseback riding, so for her 13th birthday, I took her. The horse was doing all the work, so I shouldn't have been sore - but I felt like I'd just been beat up! I'm a physician, and always see out of shape people come in, and yes, I tell them to exercise and eat right. I needed to heal myself! I thought I knew the science, but knew I didn't know how to put it in practice, so I did some research into the top trainers in Evanston were. I started training; George told me that he'd start conservative, but I'd probably get a little sore anyway. Boy, did I! And - surprise - I found out that even the science I'd been taught in med school 12-16 years ago was faulty. Yes, my trainer was bringing in scientific articles to show me that what I'd been taught was wrong! I'm a big believer now. If you want to know what works, ask the people who are in the trenches every day. Now I keep up with my teenagers, and know I'll be their for the grandkids when they come too. Big time kudos!
