Review content:
I made the trip to Grand Prairie Ford based on an ad in DMN. I?m no stranger to buying cars so I asked question after question looking for the switch and writing my questions before hand. After no less than five phone conversations with Arvin Procter the Event Manager there. I thought I was ready to drive over to see what was really up. I had them run my credit before hand and call me back with an interest rate based on the purchase price of $15K. The rate quoted on two calls was 0 down, 2.9% @ 72 months from Ford Motor Credit. They said my credit qualified me for Tier 1 @ FMC. Asked how many colors do they have ?4-5 this model, 5-6 other model?. I call first en-route Arvin says ?I?ll be waiting?. I get there and he?s gone. Then they take us outside. First thing I notice is we?re on the used car lot ??. I ask where are the new vehicles, ?the special is on these USED rental returns? says the new salesman. They had three only total. Next we go back inside to see the Finance Manger. I ask tell me about the 2.9% @ 72 months with FMC on these 2008 USED vehicles. He said well we can?t get near that with our lenders Chase, Bank One, Wachovia. I said ""I?m pre approved by FMC for these terms"" and showed him all my notes. He ACTED surprised. That?s a used unit and Ford will not fund that kind of deal. I said I?ve called all these times and asked all these questions and after driving an hour to get here I find I was right after all. There always was a switch in the deal and I found several. Wrong vehicle, missing sales guy (probably was just a call center body used to get me in the door), wrong terms, wrong interest rate, they never even ran my bureau till I was there. THE KICKER: The used advertised vehicle didn?t qualify for FMC?s lower rates after all !!! In a nut shell, Arvin and the Finance Manager (Hispanic Guy ??) are armpit sales guys and need to be removed. Shop & shop before letting any of these dealers corner you into a vehicle. Good Luck!
Pros: Could not tell you.
Cons: Flat out liars. Bait and switch artist to the max. Best con I've seen in awhile
