Review content:
I entered into mediation regarding custody of my teenaged daughter with my ex (no relation to her) and Ms. Rex. My concerns regarding my daughter were completely disregarded by Ms. Rex. Instead, she insisted that she had to speak with my daughter, and would speak with each of us immediately after.
After my daughter met with her, I was anxiously awaiting the call. Despite daily calls to her office, I received no communication from her until notified her office, five days later, that due to her lack of professionalism, I decided I would no longer be employing her services.
When I entered into mediation with Ms. Rex, it was with the understanding that she was an attorney who would rely on Family law in guiding the mediation. Instead, in the verbal report only provided after she was fired, she sounded more like a stenographer repeating the teen's words, rather than either a lawyer or psychologist, quoting my daughter's statements without question, even when those statements were clear red-flags.
Six months later, I am still in litigation because of the back up in family court and Ms. Rex encouragement to my ex. My family has spent more than $25,000 in costs to stop an unemployed, non-family member accused of abuse from getting custody of my daughter.
Stay away. Far away.
