Education Financial SVC is a division of Wells Fargo Education Financial Services. In short, this company is a complete nightmare and I would strongly advise anyone who is going into college and looking for financial assistance through student loans, to avoid getting your student loan(s) from this company. I have student loans that are from the 2004 and 2005 school years. Everything was fine until my 6 month grace period for the loan payments wore off (once my full time student status and credit load dropped). I have a payment due at the beginning of every month, and a payment due at the end of every of every month. This is where my billing nightmare begins. Wells Fargo applies both payments to one account, and nothing to the other. What this means is every month, I am a full payment ahead on one account, and the other account goes into a delinquent status. When an account goes into a delinquent status, the auto-dialer ques up and begins the harassment. This is followed with a late notice mailed to both my cosigner and myself. Once this process starts, I have to call the customer service line. Then it's time to wait on hold until someone is free (""your call is very important to us, please stay on the line""). I then explain the whole situation to an account rep, and fill them in on the history. I have to walk them through the process of how the payments should be applied, and explain how the system is actually applying them. This happened every month from Nov. 2010 to Feb. 2011. It had happened on off in the prior years. Tonight's phone call lasted 21 mins and 10 sec (which is par for this process). What this means to me is that over the past four months, I have spent 1 hour and 20 minutes on the phone, baby sitting my student loan payments. I've lost almost all hope for myself, but hopefully you can save yourself (or your son/ daughter) some heart ache in future.
