The good first: This is a new age store that has tried very hard. There is a wide variety of new age topics represented, which is nice. They have a lot of statuary, such as angels, faeries, and some god/goddess figures. If there is something they don't have, they will order it for you, no matter what it is. The bad: While they have a large variety of new age topics, within those topics they have very little. It seems like everything I was looking for they didn't have. As I said, they offered to order it, but sometimes you just don't want to wait, especially if it is herbs or candles. There isn't a lot of supplies for anyone who does ritual, and there is a very small and seriously lacking book selection, with the majority being by Wayne Dyer and the like. Classes are offered rarely, and they are usually repetitive of what was offered a few weeks/months ago. There is a lot of talk of what new classes they will be teaching, but then they never offer them. Once class the I believe is being offered is a Reiki class. I advise against taking it there. The owner is the teacher, and she received her level 3 Master less than a month before she decided to teach it. As a Reiki myself, I can tell you it is standard that a Master be a level 3 Master for a couple of years before teaching. They do have readers there, but it seems like they readers come and go quicker than some of the stock. More recently, readers have been leaving after only a few months of working there. Since they don't have readers there every day, If you want a reading, you just have to call or stop by and take your chances that a reader is there. A lot of the stock seems to have been there a while. There is a selection of clothing that was in the store when the previous owner had it, and that was over 3 years ago. The store is very tiny, and a lot of space is taken up by undesirable stock: old clothing, old (and I don't mean not vintage, just hasn't sold in 10 years) jewelery, lotions, old herbs and old oils. The biggest problem I found is that the staff (and owner who is there most days), don't know their business. They don't know about herbs, crystals, magick, spellwork, paganism, etc. If you ask a question that someone owning/running a new age store should be able to answer, it is frustrating when they can't help. If you ask what a crystal is, it's kind of ridiculous when the owner has to look it up in a book in front of you. Shouldn't you at least know what your stock is, even if you don't know what it is used for? And it's even more so when they have no idea what the item you're looking for is or what it is used for. The owner doesn't really know anything about her clients or what brought them to a new age store in the first place. And don't bother checking their website. It hasn't been updated since last May. The hours they are opening, as well as when they have readers and what type of readers, is completely out of date. Most of the types of readers they have listed aren't even there anymore. As I said, the store looks like it has tried hard, but that's the problem. It looks like they tried hard, not like they actually did work hard. They just don't seem to care. And sadly, that is easily felt when you go into the store. Even on a bright and sunny day, the air there feels heavy and oppressive. Pros: Ecclectic selections Cons: Tiny, mostly decorative stock, heavy, negative vibe
