I rent a duplex from Lobos Management on Dalzell Street in Squirrel Hill. I came to Pittsburgh in the early summer before graduate school in order to find a place to live. At the time I scheduled an appointment with the Lobos Management Company, I was unaware of their bad reputation. My rental agent showed me a really nice place on Dalzell and I decided to lease it. Only after I went back to Illinois did I learn about the negative reviews on the internet. Needless to say, I was anxious when I entered my contract with Lobos Management. That was two years ago. Since moving in, I have had a pretty smooth time, both in the duplex and in my dealings with the management company. I have had some minor maintenance problems. For example, I lost electricity in the living room and second bedroom. The management company sent an electrician to fix it the next day. My biggest complaint about the duplex is that the gas bill can get pretty high in the winter. Aside from that, I have been satisfied with my experience.
