My first time at this restaurant was on Valentine's Day because my husband wanted to try something new. I looked at a lot of reviews on this place and noticed they had a lot of 5 stars so I went in ready to nit pick this place apart. As I mentioned, this was my husband's idea to dine there not mine. I thought their food can't be THAT great--no way! However, after dining there once we are hooked and have been back several times already. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but I know why now they have so many high reviews! They really knock it out of the park in all areas of customer service, good food, ambiance, etc. They offer the whole package. When you walk in the door you are greeted by a very friendly woman. The decor is very nice, I liked it a lot. I ordered a glass of Merlot and it was very good--I actually had 3 glasses that night! For appetizers we ordered fried calamari which was a very generous portion. For dinner we splurged that night and had their filet mignon and lobster. The filet was very tender and on a plate with au jus and delicious mushrooms. I have never had a filet like that before. By far the best steak ever !! The butter for the lobster was brought out in its own little dipping dish with a lit candle on the bottom to keep the butter warm. The soup was delicious and obviously home made and their salad bar is a basic. They do have some other salads like macaroni salad which was good but for before dinner at other places you get just a small salad; here you can have what and as much as you want. For desert I had coffee, kahlua with whipcream on top ( I special ordered it and they were happy to make it) with their heart shapped raspberry cheesecake. I have to say, it was the best dinner I have ever had. We now go back weekly for their steaks and ribs. Everything here is great. The service, the atmosphere, the food., the people, etc.
