Last Saturday we had dinner at Chang Bistro after having read some glowing articles and reviews - it turned out to be a mistake, unfortunately. The Massaman curry tasted of nothing but 5-spice powder in an unbelievable quantity. My sister was unable to eat much of it. I ordered the seafood ""paradise"" which was anything but! The seafood would have been ok if it had not be hidden in soggy overcooked vegetables and a terribly salty brown sauce. The chef should taste dishes before they go out - but maybe he was not there that night?
Our over-keen young waiter tried way too hard, asking once or twice whether everything was delicious would have been enough. He was so keen we did not have the heart to send the food back!
He also took the time to write on the bill 3x! that tips were not included and the 20% tip would be...., 18.5% would be .... which I did NOT appreciate. The place was clean, the people very friendly, but our food??? The worst thing was that upon our return I began to feel sick, suffered from severe diarrhea and vomiting all day Sunday and am still under the weather today, Monday. Where
