Although most of the people that would use the services of this place are not the type to make a report so I will help out: this place is always on the lookout for people who bring in goods, and seem desperate for money. That is how they prosper. The more desperate you seem the less you will be offered for your goods. They know someone in dire straits, or who is using illicit drugs is almost guaranteed to not redeem the loan, and then they get goods for 20-40% of their value. I go there because they sell cheap dvd's (WARNING: check every dvd, because they dont. they put out cases that are empty, or the dvds are in terrible shape.) you can get 8 dvds for 20$, so you can only imagine what they loaned or payed for them. I doubt this place will be around that much longer; while i was looking at dvds today the employees were discussing a large amount of money that kept coming up missing each month. While there a shopper asked for a strong light to check a welding helmet. The guy in charge said bring back what you need to check it, but if you buy it once it leaves the store we give no refunds. Any business that refuses to back up a product isn't worth doing business with. I would never buy anything else besides dvds because i can look and tell the condition myself. i have even found pirated dvds in regular cases for sale. The cleanliness of the store, and its employess has went downhill badly. The man in charge when i went today was rude; however, the younger man in the blue shirt seemed nice. This used to be a family owned business, and even though they screwed you back then; at least they tried to maintain some sort of standard.
