BEWARE OF THIS FIRM We had hired Deltona Lakes Realty, Inc. (DLRI) on October 26, 2009 to manage our rental property at 389 Polite Drive, Deltona, Florida 32725. This arrangement was fraught with problems from the beginning. The following is a progression of events leading up to their dismissal on August 27, 2010 and subsequent events: 1. We had to remind DLRI 75% of the time to collect past due rent. 2. We had numerous conversations as to the condition of our property and were assured that everything was in acceptable condition. 3. Because of relationship problems with the tenants, the failure to manage the property professionally and numerous other inactions constituted a material breach of our agreement, our Attorney via certified letter on August 27, 2010 terminated said agreement. 4. DLRI after receipt of termination letter continued to illegally collect their portion of rent, gave tenant an unauthorized $300.00 rent credit and collected a percent of the Security Deposit for their unauthorized use after we had to incur the expense of evicting the tenants. 5. Because of this and numerous other inactions on behalf of DLRI we have incurred a total of over $6,500.00 in damages to the property they were contracted to manage and maintain. 6. DLRI assured us that a security check of the tenants was completed, however it was discovered during the eviction process that both tenants had a long legal complaint list. Our intentions are to pursue DLRI to the fullest extent of allowable law in the hopes to mitigate the mounting expenses in the repair of our property. We have all pertinent information, forms, pictures and e-mail communications for any persons review.
