Review content:
The moment we walked into the wild sage we felt a warm connection. Our dinner experience was excellent - the whole evening was full of great food and lot's of well managed details in service and a lovely french bistro style set up. We started with fried green tomato & crab remoulade, and wilted spinach salad w/ candied pecans and buttermilk blue cheese crumbles. Both apps looked and tasted great, the warm vinaigrette salad dressing and the perfectly golden crisped sweet green tomatoes carried both of the dishes. Our waitress did a fine job of walking trough our meals, she had eaten all the items on the menu and described them with a confident familiarity - she represented the food wonderfully. We proceeded to order a basket of homemade breads and crackers with spreads and dipping oils, mesquite charred ahi tuna, lamb chops, sausage gnocchi gratin and a wonderful house made ice cream with caramel toppings. We're in Spokane 6 times a year and usually eat out once each visit. We we're extremely impressed with the well managed details in the menu and the restaurant in general - it seemed every plate coming from the kitchen had an interesting creative combination and was put together with care - you kind of got the impression that this was a standard not just a good night for the kitchen. Everything we ate was prepared well - the fresh baked pull-aparts, breads and crackers, ahi tuna and gnocchi I look forward to going back for.. . Typically we are adventurous diners that like to try new things and appreciate restaurants taking some chances with the menu. The wild sage does this really well and it's obvious they have some experience in doing this. Prices are on the high end for Spokane, but great value in return, and reservations were needed the Saturday evening we were there. We'll be back and tell our friends.
Pros: Hi end creative food and menu options, great ambiance
Cons: Pricey and rich
