Review content:
If you are going to this spa with friends, be aware that you will not have a private massage room. There is a room with 2 massage tables & a room with 3, and not even a curtain to divide the space. If you go in summer, you may want to bring along your own lightweight robe because the spa robes, while quite nice, are very warm and the spa itself is warm. You may also want to bring some fresh fruit or yogurt if you are going to be there for several services. There was a good assortment of beverages, but limited snacks & not what you'd want after a massage (trail mix, cereal bars, & biscotti). There are 2 luxurious bathrooms with showers, but no other area to fix hair & make-up... challenging with a group of 6 or 8 women?! Last, be aware that you will be asked to tip 15-20% when paying for your services... awkward. When did a 15-20% tip become the norm for a $100 massage? The therapist is a professional & if she makes just 50% of the fee, that's $50 per hour & more than most clients are likely to make. I do tip, but it's a little like tipping my dentist?! All this crap aside, THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS VERY NICE & THE STAFF IS EXCELLENT. It's just good to know what to expect.
