Review content:
I vacationed in Charleston, SC and on my last night had the unfortunate experience of stopping by Wet Willie's for a drink. The bar itself was extremely noisy and none too clean. There were lots of very intoxicated young people, some that could barely stand and this was before 10:00pm. For some reason the waiters were taking away the chairs, so you had no where to sit.
I had never been to a bar that consisted of giant slurpy machines full of different colored frozen concoctions so I asked the ""bartender"" about a particular flavor. He was arrogant to the point of rudeness.I use the term ""bartender"" with reservations because there is no skill involved in the preparation of the drinks.
The drinks are vile,I gather the purpose is to drink them rapidly until one is so drunk they can no longer taste. The environment of the bar is' frat house immature"" and the service is as bad as I have ever experienced.
Needless to say, I would advise anyone to avoid Wet Willie's in downtown Charleston like the plague. Actually the one star rating is generous.
