Review content:
My husband and I along with our 2 young children have been living at a stone mill property small residential park for the last year or so. When we first moved in everything sounded great almost like it was the place we would really enjoy living at, we were offered to buy a 3 bedroom 1 and half bath mobile home, this was a great offer because we were renting a two bedroom trailer and needed the space. We started a rent-to-own on place. Before we moved in we were told that a couple of things had to be fixed like the sink in the half bathroom was leaking and a couple of other leaks would be repaired before our move in date...well that didn't happen not only did the sink in my daughters bathroom leak and still does but my husband had to fix the kitchen sink twice, and the hot water heater started leaking! We called the "" park management"" and got no help from them. It was when the furnace started to give us problems we really realized what kind of people we were dealing with ( slumlords). My husband called the owner of stone mill property and asked if there was any way they could fix or replace the furnace his reply was in a very rude and nasty way "" no you bought the trailer as is!"" which would have been true but at this time we were still renting as we didn't finish paying the trailer off yet or have the title. The bigger problem we are having is we paid the trailer off and still haven't received the bill of sale yet we are waiting on the bill of sale because we were told that there is no title for the trailer and we cant get one until we have the bill of sale. Most people don't have a choice when moving into a place like this, but just because you have fallen on hard times and don't have another option does not give these people the right to treat their tenants this way. my only advise if you are thinking of moving into a stone mill property is be prepared to fight for your right as a tenant even if it means legally as we soon are.
