Review content:
Had a rehearsal dinner there and it was a nightmare. The management does not communicate with you apart from the initial contact. I left several voice mails asking for them to phone me and they never returned my calls. When I had to send information by fax and by mail in order to get the owner to phone me, I knew we were in trouble. This was prompted by after finally managing to talk to a staff member to give the head count and food choices 2 weeks before the wedding and being told that she would put the reservation in the book -- we'd made the reservation months before-- and did we want the guests to be in the same room! I'd been told they could accommodate a party of 40 in one dining room with no problems. When the owner called me, he agreed to my seating plan. I walked in with place cards and seating plan just ahead of our guests and found a completely different table arrangement - chaos ensued. It was very stressful and embarrassing. I had also cancelled the dessert - by voice mail and fax - asked them to let me know if it would be a problem and brought a cake instead, they served the dessert, ignored the cake and we had to dispose of the cake as we were from out of town and staying in a hotel.
One of the wedding party talked to a Uniontown resident who confirmed that it had been a similar situation when they planned a large dinner party with this restaurant - they thought it was not going to happen because of the management not communicating with them. I was glad to hear that it wasn't just us.
I have organized banquets in Pittsburgh and have never had to deal with such an unresponsive restaurant as this one before.
The guests said the food was good.
We will never go back.
Pros: Good Food
Cons: Dreadful to deal with
