I wanted to learn more about electronic drums, particularly the possibility of purchasing electronic tympani.
The sales associate who answered my call acknowledged that the store did not carry the item that I wanted, but she was willing to listen to why I was looking for the item.
When I asked for contact information to call the store's percussion vendor, I could overhear the sales associate ask her colleagues about how to find a product similar to what I wanted.
She then offered to call the percussion vendor herself, got my name and phone number, and promised to call me back with more information. Every NAMM music store should have sales associates like this!
