Please allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Angie Serrano and I am the new Center Director for Tutor Time in Santa Clarita. It is a pleasure to have joined the Tutor Time family. I consider myself fortunate to have been given this opportunity to join an organization with such a great team and a wonderful program. Our Life Smart program is based on the belief that children are intelligent in many different ways. We call these ways ""Smarts."" Word Smart, Math Smart, Body Smart, Design Smart, ? Music Smart, Nature Smart, ? People Smart and Me Smart. We are also very proud to have been awarded the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA). This nationally recognized accreditation follows a rigorous process of self-study, surveys of parents and staff, verification by early childhood education/child care professionals, and a final review by the NECPA Board of Commissioners. It is for these wonderful reasons that we have also been recognized with the 2011-2012 Center of Excellence Award. But, at the end of the day, we can?t come close to achieving these ambitious goals without our parents. We will continue to keep an open line of communication to let us know what we?re doing right and what we could be doing better to make us Santa Clarita?s first choice in Childcare and Learning.
