After losing a bet to my buddy, I was forced to take him to this restaurant to buy him dinner. I did not mind losing because I was able to take my buddy out to dinner. They have a polite and courteous staff that not only speaks Persian, but English as well . Before we ordered our food they served us with house salad with there choice of dressing. The salad was good, but I would prefer to have my own choice of dressing which they do not offer. For food, we always order the soltani at any kabob place we visit. This dish is basically a Kabob Koobideh and a Kabob Barg which comes with a side order of rice and a grilled tomato. I found the food to be lacking enough salt which led me to sprinkle salt all over my food. Overall, the restaurant is a bit pricey with dinner for two coming out to over $40 without tip. I rate this restaurant as average because compared to Darya restaurant in Santa Ana their barg kabob is not as lean and juicy. However, Shamshiri is much more convenient because it is not an hour away like Darya Restaurant.
