Review content:
I am a former student at the Martial Arts Center for Health. I attended the school for a little over 4 years and earned a first degree black belt while there. Too many martial arts schools foccus on fighting, competition and flash. It all looks like something out of a jackie chan movie. Yes i't is amusing to watch, but that's not what martial arts really is! Nobody that gets into a fight ever run's around doing three flips in the air while hitting someone. That's hollywoods version of martial arts. At the Martial Arts Center for Health the instructors teach you how to strengthen your body and mind through holding positions for a period of time, learning and memorizing forms such as tai chi, and pushing you through and beyond your comfort zone. There is of course a foccus on self defense to bring up one's confidence in case of a combat situation, but martial arts is so much more than fighting. The instructors here truly are your friends. I know for a fact that there is not one instructor there that is only in it for the money, they actually care to help you become a better person both inside and out.
Pros: Clean comfortable and fun
Cons: one hour classes too short
