Review content:
I have been a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church since 1970. The Church is a beautiful, modern building with a sweeping center apse. It's artwork is unique, absolutely striking and lovely yet far from that which adorns the interior of most churches. There is ample seating in three large sections that radiate from the center altar taking the shape of a cross. It also has a soundproofed ""quiet room"" (for those with unruly children and infants) in which you can hear the service from speakers set into the ceiling. A side elevator on the church grounds adjacent to the Rectory makes it accessible to the handicapped and anyone who might have trouble navigating stairs. The clergy has always been, and remains, friendly and approachable. On Sundays, six masses are offered at convenient times...and each has a unique musical accompaniment (choir, soloists, organ-only, ""folk"" with various instruments, etc.). Mass is also offered on weekday mornings, as is recitation of the Rosary. Community events and drives are regularly sponsored by the Church. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered every Saturday afternoon in the Church, with a choice of traditional confessional booths or face-to-face in a private room. Reconciliation is also available in the Rectory at any time. The Church ministers to nine local Nursing Homes and the clergy is happy to arrange visits to home-bound parishioners so that they can regularly receive the Sacraments. Holy Rosary Elementary School and Holy Rosary Convent are located directly across the street. In my opinion, Holy Rosary's only drawback is it's parking lot. It holds approximately 40-50 cars, more than enough for weekday services but often not nearly enough on Sundays and Holy Days. It can be quite hectic to enter the lot if you arrive as a previous mass just ends. Parking can be found on the surrounding side streets, usually within a one block walk to the Church. Pros: Beautifully kept, wonderful clergy, convenient mass schedule Cons: Parking facilities are not quite adequate
