Review content:
I love Cabbagetown, and I used to love Carroll Street Cafe. That changed this past Sunday. The trouble started when we sat down. We were given water that was warm, as in it seemed like it had been sitting on a stove. Our drink order was taken. 15 minutes later while sipping my warm oj, i asked if we could order, she said yes and walked away. 5 mintues later, she finally took our order. When the food arrived, the potatoes were so burnt, half of them were inedible. Some literally looked like bricks of charcoal. My $10 plate of pancakes was a little cold. I guess it had to sit on the counter and wait for the potatoes to burn. Then, I had to go to the counter and ask to pay. I'm sorry to say I will not be returning to a place I once considered wonderful. Pros: location, atmosphere Cons: bad service, burnt potatoes, cold food
