I dropped off a pair of suit pants to be let out that I needed no later than Friday after work. On Friday afternoon I showed up to pick up the pants and noticed that the alterations person (Sam) had really messed up the stitching. After bringing it to his attention, he first lied and denied that he even worked on the pants; then tried ironing over the areas that he messed up; and then kept harassing me that there was no problem.
When I asked to speak with the manager, the store clerk call someone on her cell phone, and Sam purposefully spoke at length with someone in a foreign language, and then immediately informed me that a manager could not be found and that I would have to leave my pants until he came back on Saturday. Even at the encouragement of another patron, Sam and the store clerk refused to admit he messed up the pants or to otherwise try to make the situation right. He told me I could pay for the pants or leave them there. After further fruitless discussion, a manager (Harry) was called and I spoke with him on the clerk's cell phone. He was verbally abusive on the phone and refused to provide any remedy. Upon my suggestion that I would not pay for the work and we could just call the whole thing off, Harry threatened to call the police.
The quality of work was very poor. Both Sam and Harry lied to me, were rude and unprofessional, and made a bad situation much worse than it had to be under the circumstances. My recommendation to everyone is to find some place else to have your alterations or dry cleaning needs met. There are plenty of fine establishments in the valley that deserve (and appreciate) our time and business.
