Review content:
We have been patronizing the Scalini's Italian Restaurant since it opened many years ago. As much as we think it is better than Olive Garden across the street (on Cobb Parkway) our latest visit was a disappointment.
The food was bland and the portions were small....and the prices have gone up alomst $2.00 per entree since we last visited. We had to ask several times for beverage ice or refill....including water.
However, the most disturbing element of our visit was the server not returning with change from our cash payment of the checque. Is this standard practice now? Even though we left a tip for the server, we are not pleased that it was assumed that any change under a $1.00 was theirs to keep.
We think that this establishment is holding on, but it is not as good as we remember.
Too bad.
